[She dropped something on top of it and pushed it to the side. When she spoke, it was still pretty soft, not far above a whisper. Cradling her drink, the girl had a conspiratorial look on her face.]

Made copies of what we had time for and a mold to copy the key before putting it back where I found it. I started with herbs and potions, but there's things in there they don't talk about. More than I could read easily.

Fuckers kept telling me to take it up with the librarian to get in. Finally got sick of waiting for them to tell me anything. Might be useless. Might be everything.

Either way, they don't want me to have it, so fuck 'em.

Yep. You ever notice how information about things in this world's almost impossible to get ahold of? Plenty of crap on other worlds, but they're stingy about this world.

Yep, which is why I'm all for taking back some of the power for myself, one way or another. We'll see if we find anything interesting. Been doing some experimenting and trying to get in touch with folks around here. Stay organized, that sort of thing.

Oh well, enough of that. What about you? What've you been doing all this time? Just keep up with the bar? You're not really the fighting or research sort, are you?

Yeah been running the bar, and checking up on people. That's more my sort of thing, really. I don't really like fighting or anything like that, even if I end up doing it a lot it seems.

I think we sort of end up doing a lot of things we're not really suited for around here. It probably shouldn't surprise us by now.

Sure as heck seems to be working for right now at the very least. Honestly, if it weren't for this whole war and the annoying gods, I think I'd actually like this place a little. It's... been interesting.

Freyr was ... ok. I didn't hate him quite as much, and I guess Freya might have been decent. The rest could suck a railroad spike on principle. Baldr can suck a rusty one.
