[The party's come and gone. She's not avoiding Roxy, she promises. The half-demon's just been busy with her filthy swill of tea creation and other things. But, Kaworu's conversation dragged some thoughts into her head, especially with her reactions. It had given her a bit to mull about, and she couldn't very well talk to Eridan about it. It was weird, but he was the last person she could talk to about some of it.
That actually kind of annoyed her a little, but hopefully Roxy could help out. So, here she was, a bottle of something brown in between her fingers and a wry grin on her face.]
Yo. I'm bribing you. You want to get together for drinks?
God, I don't know many good places. We could hit up your club if you wanted, as long as we could talk there. Otherwise ... I guess we could hit my place or yours. [She didn't like people coming over, but the truth was that Roxy hadn't done anything to make her nervous, so why the hell not?[
Alright, sounds like a plan. You bring the glasses and ice, I'll bring the booze.
[She closed up shop and made sure everything was locked completely before heading out. Making her way to the club, she took her time. There wasn't any real hurry after all. Getting there a little bit late, she lingered by the doorway, looking around to see if she could see Roxy anywhere.
Thankfully, she didn't look quite as self-conscious as she sometimes did, even if she had entirely too much on her mind for anyone to consider healthy. So, basically, it was like just about any day for the demon.]
Already at the club, Roxy was crouched down behind the bar, getting those glasses and ice that Samantha had mentioned. Once done she heads over to the doorway to keep a lookout, only to see Samantha already there.]
Hey! Come sit up at the bar, I'll whip us up a couple drinks. What did you bring?
[She offered a thin smile and waved to Roxy when the girl came up to her, following afterwards to the bar and grabbing a spot. The bottle she put down didn't have a label, and looked on the light amber/brown side that suited whiskey.]
It's what some of them call bourbon. It's a step above the grade you'd use to strip the paint from your walls, but it does the trick of getting you good and drunk and it mixes with something sweet just fine.
[TUrning around, she reaches for some generic bottle of non-alcoholic drink in order to mix it with the liquor before opening both in order to mix up some beverages.]
[She handed over the brown and chuckled. Well, she did expect Roxy had a good idea the best way to mix her drinks. It was her thing, after all. She reached up and rubbed her forehead, laughing to herself.]
This place is seriously fucked up sometimes, Roxy, you know that?
[She shook her head and propped her chin on one of her hands, raising an eyebrow before letting out a grunt.]
It's weird for me, but it's not the crazy or the bad stuff that seems the most screwed up. It's the good stuff. Is there something wrong with me that I can't stop looking gift horses in mouths?
Eh? Oh, no. I'm still shocked I agreed to a date in the first place. No, I meant more in the friend category. Not too used to those either, you know.
[She shook her head and took a swig, swirling the drink in her glass afterwards.]
So, since we're talking guys, how much do you know about this kismet thing of theirs? I mean, past just the rivals, fighting, hate-love thing. How's this suupposed to work?
I really dunno much about it. I mean I know what it's meant to be in theory, but fuck if I'd know how to actually go about it? I mean everything I know about it, I got told from Eridan.
It's mostly like human dating, I mean he said you still do things together but instead of sweet cute dates it's more.. you pick something you both like doing but want to compete in? At least that's the impression I got.
So, [sip] it's like it's a relationship, but instead of saying things like I love you and holding hands, we're clawing each other and throwing annoying little pet names?
[She chuckled and looked down at her drink, shaking her head.]
I see why Feferi didn't think Gam worked for me. I just wanted to beat him up. I actually think I could have fun with this with Eridan. I don't know if the crazy clown would've understood.
That, I am starting to understand. It really wouldn't make sense to go too far. Much as you're supposed to piss each other off, they're actually... important, aren't they?
[She glanced up at Roxy with a bit of a sneer on her lips, a chuckle there.]
So, does that mean for all you think he's kind of a tool and a dick, you actually care about Sollux?
Heh. [She wasn't going to burst her bubble. These rivalries had a way of getting loud. Roxy'd notice how obvious it was eventually.] My lips are sealed.
I guess maybe something that disturbs me a little about this is that I'm probably tapping into my other half a little to stay sane like I do with him. We're nasty to each other and violent kind of like she is, but it works since I can cheat a little with his regeneration.
But, if that doesn't all come out, I guess, I don't know... it's not such a bad thing?

Course, he's far from the only gift horse I've got in my yard these days, though he's definitely the one on my mind a lot.
